Leslie Cohen, CD(DTI) Birth Doula

With the knowledge and light-hearted engagement provided, Leslie was one of the highlights throughout our pregnancy! From the first time we met, there was an instant connection! Her gentle and calming nature helped ease our anxieties and we felt extremely comfortable having her at our side while preparing for one of the most exciting,  life-altering events we will ever experience! Not only did she guide us through the 9 months of pregnancy, she was also present during the labor and birth of our baby boy and I can honestly say, we have no clue how people do it without the help from a doula like Leslie.  The advice and information she shared allowed for us to create our own pregnancy journey and she walked us through every moment to ensure it was a memorable time for our family.  She is an incredible human and there aren’t enough flowers in the world to give her for the guidance she offers!

We wholeheartedly recommend Leslie as a doula for anyone embarking on their own journey of childbirth.

I found Leslie through a referral from Lori Bregman. After speaking with several different doulas, I decided to choose Leslie as my doula because of her professionalism, friendliness, and her open-mindedness. My husband and I are so happy we had Leslie to guide us through the various unexpected changes that occurred during my pregnancy. I like factual data when making these decisions and she sent me great podcasts and resources to help me understand all aspects of the decisions I had to make. She also was always so patient in talking out these decisions with me and helping me flesh out the risks and alternatives to each decision. She checked in with me almost every day since we began working together and was always available if I needed her. During the labor, she was with me every step of the way and provided me with both mental and physical support, ranging from aromatherapy to subdue the nausea to massages to help with the contractions. We are so grateful to have had Leslie on this journey with us, and I would highly recommend her to anyone! Thanks Leslie for being the best!

We are deeply grateful for Leslie's exceptional support during the birth of our daughter. From the moment we met Leslie, we felt an immediate connection. Despite our OB/GYN's push for induction and a potential cesarean due to concerns about our daughter's birth weight, Leslie provided us with up-to-date, evidence-based information on natural birth and offered practical activities and remedies to prepare my body for labor. Her unwavering support and personalized guidance made a significant difference in our experience. Leslie will forever be a cherished part of our lives, and even though we feel well-prepared for a second birth, we would still invite her to be a part of our next journey. We cannot thank her enough for her dedication and care.

We decided a little last minute to have a doula for support during our hospital birth and got connected with Leslie. She is so warm and personable we clicked right away. We wanted to have support during delivery and someone to help advocate for us, as well as let us know other options there may be. It took a lot of anxiety away knowing Leslie would be with us. She shared a lot of information with us to help us prepare for labor and was always there if I needed to text or call her. My labor went a little faster than expected but Leslie made it to the hospital in time and was able to take over rubbing my shoulders as well as helping me practice push. She was so encouraging and supportive and we are so happy she was there. She made sure to follow up with us and came to visit and bring me a smoothie once we were home. She is such a gift and we could not recommend her more!
